1. Tasks: 

Regular tasks​

  • Define technical specifications for tyres based on vehicle dynamics targets​

  • Define procedures and methodologies for tyre development​

  • Communication with tyre suppliers to reach tyre performance​

  • Developing post-process tools for tyre models ​

  • Define DVP for tyre development​

  • Vehicle dynamics simulations in 15-DOF and multi-body environment​

  • Organization of test session for tyre development (virtual and real vehicle testing)​

  • Validation of tyre models​

  • Implementation tyre models for driving simulator (static and dynamic platform)​​

Occasional tasks​

  • Support Head of Vehicle Dynamics for tyre and vehicle dynamics development activities​

  • Support Head of VD for tyre development activities​

  • Support and transfer knowledge and experience to colleagues in the team


2. Responsibilities: 

  • Tyre development specifications to achieve vehicle dynamics targets​

  • Taking care of tyre supplier deliveries​

  • Achieve tyre development targets for all vehicle programs

  • Tyre Methodologies decision​

  • Escalate new budget requests​

  • Decide on department procedures for tyre development​

  • Proposing procedures and processes to develop and implement best practices and increase efficiency​

  • Decide on issues impacting the engineering process​

  • Propose software and hardware 

  • Coordinate tyre development activates across the project


3. Required skills and competencies: 

  • Experience in development of tyre development
  • Experience in vehicle dynamics simulation
  • Experience in vehicle dynamics tyre testing
  • Knowledge about tyre modelling (empirical and physical models)
  • Knowledge and experience working in MATLAB
  • Knowledge in 15-DOF vehicle dynamics tools (like VI-CRT, IPG CarMaker or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office and standard engineering software
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
